Gibson's Public Art Gallery:
"Creative Collage", "a demonstration with participant "hands-on" development of painted and textured prepared papers, using acrylic paint, wax resist, stamping, scraping and spraying, incorporating the elements of design. To quote Sherry: "The attraction for me in using collage is the freedom from rules and the unlimited flexibility of the picture making process...I add pre-painted papers to the surface in building my image and can just as easily remove elements of the painting using the same technique. I manipulate the papers to achieve a cohesive work."
As an sessional lecturer at the University of British Columbia, Sherry had the opportunity to give workshops to teachers around British Columbia on the following topics: Working in Three Dimensions. an Early Childhood Worshop for preschool teachers. Working with Paper Pulp. Development of Sequential Art Programs. Looking at Art Reproductions for Appreciation and Inspiration for Student work.
